i'm here and i love it!

wow i'm here!
this is all so amazing!
plane flight was uneventful which is just how it should be... tho i could have done with out the Scottish chick next to me polishing off at least 10 vodka and orange and drinking white wine like it was water..... ah well she was a good laff and i do have a friend to visit if i am even in glasgow!
meeting Nick at the airport was INCREDIBLE! managed turn the other way from where he was waiting.... but that was bound to happen (murphys law) . he came running up to me and we even got oh's and ah's from the crowd!!! was just wonderful!! i think i just kept repeating, it's soo nice to see you, you're real and my knees were shaking so i could hardly walk!
we caught the tube to Hammersmith and then from there on the central line to goldhawk rd, from there is was a short walk to .... HOME!
in the afternoon we went for a walk to notting hill.. just up the road... had a pint at Belushis on the way (this was where Nick lived when he first landed in london, and i had watched him eat his breakfast on web cam from ECS) we continued up the road looked in some way cool music stores and even the odd comic shop = P On the way home bought some essentials, shower cap etc and things for dinner.
next highlight was meeting my new house mates, well i have met them on web cam but this was 3D kristen and steve seem lovely, haven't met kathryn yet, she had a work show on i was a tired little pumpkin and went to bed
too early to see her.
All in all a great first day!
day two was shopping... and more shopping... and then oh boy more shops... but and you wll never beleive this but i did not buy a thing! it was all just too overwhelming plus i am trying to be really careful with $.. (don't have a pounds sign on this key board..)
we went to tottenham court road, oxford st, carnarby street, lester sq and piccadilly circus.. not sure that was the exact order tho...
found the most WICKED jacket in ted backer.. but was 200 pound.. perfect tho, just what i wanted, black and white tweed, 100% wool but 200 pound += 500 Aussie and that is a lot for an unemployed chickie so i may just have to be brave! unless i start the 'cherry needs(wants) a new jacket fund'... email me if you would like to contribute = P
mark and kerri - nick made butter chicken on thursday night... wow was it yummy! thanks for the recipe and the extra tips too = D
friday i had my first 'interview' but it wasn't so formal. it was with lester sybersolve, they are a contracting agency and have put me on there list. they also help with tax etc so that will be handy too.... when i actually earn some money...
friday arvo (see i'm still occa..) Nick and i sorted out putting my name on the lease (a big first for me and i am very excited) and then moved to our NEW room upstairs. it's very nice indeed and i will send photos just as soon as we have sorted out our stuff, at the moment everything is piled up on the bed
friday night was just wonderful! i went to nicks work and met all his work buddies, great bunch of ppl and after talking to them all on the phone a few times while they were all out and i was sitting in bed it was great to be out with them! we went to vodka revolutions next where i met court (great chick) and sarah and shaun (wonderful to see you both). partied there till about 11 am when the strangest thing happend..... they turned the lights on and the place closed.... what the! nick and i decided to bail at that stage and 'find' our way home.... seriously i have NO IDEA how he used to do it on his own because we walked in the wrong direction... we ended up at warren st station (very wrong) and caught the tube from there.... i wont embarass nick with the rest of the journey home all i'll say was we made it (no he didn't chuck on the tube in case you are wondering)
so now it is saturday morning nick is asleep and i can hear kristen has just got up so i will head down to the kichen and make us both a milo
