getting sorted

This week has been (and is going to be) all about getting things sorted out like bank accounts, ID numbers, GPs and jobs.
Bank Accounts - Wow are these hard to sort out.... i gave up doing it on my own and at 830am today went to a meeting called Kick Start where they give you all the forms and help you to gather together all the required paper work.... 2 hrs later i still was missing a form but will take it in tomorrow.
ID numbers - Seems i need a National Insurance Number for tax purposes - but only when i have a job so that can be left for later (but not too much later i hope)
GP's - To see the Dr here you have to be registerred and to be registerred with a Dr you must live in the Dr's 'zone' and then there are some that are in your zone but not taking new people... sheesh.. i miss just ringing an hour before and showing up.... so Nick and Iwill hopefully get our name on a list this week
Finally Jobs...
This is interesting as i have one job that i have been told i 99.9% have thejob i really want but still that is not 100% and as much as my recruitment agency has tried she is unable to track down a 100% answer for me. Today however i have a second interview with a different company so i will attened that just to keep options open. Lastly i have been looking at the posibility of IT recruitment as a career and tho i am still not convinced... anything is better than sitting on a help desk.... =D
On the social side of things Nick and I went to a bar called the Strong Room on the weekend, was very kitch/trendy.. about the closesti can come up with back home was the supermild but the music was more austin powers than chill/groovy. Sunday was IKEA and WOW is that place HUGE!!!!!!!! Damien(new housemate) and I spent 2 hours there amongst the millions of household things and finally got out of the with out pockets much lighter and 2 coffee tables, 2 throw rugs, 3 bedside lamps, a christmas tree, a mirror, a plant, a light shade, 6 glasses, 6 bowls, 2 coat hangers, 2 picture frames and 4 pillows and covers..... phew...
Ok so now i should get ready for the interview....bye x
