Roasted Monkey Nuts

Yes... that is right, they were for sale at one of the stalls at Portabello Markets today..... looked more like peanuts in their shells(?) crazy Londoners....
Today was lots of fun
Nick and i headed out at about 10.30am (which is early for us... we are slow starters) and went first to Oxford St. Some would consider this suicide on the Saturday before Christmas but it was actually very pleasant.... not busy at all really, (for London). Found a very cool St with all music store just off Oxford called Berwick St, vinyl, DVD, CD, new and secondhand.
Next it was the tube to High St Kensington where there are more shops. Had a wander along but was brave and did not buy a thing... wow is urban outfitters just the coolest shop in the WHOLE WORLD!
One stop further on the central line was Notting Hill Gate where we walked down Portabello Rd. All the markets are out on a Saturday and there were so many things to look at. Lots of secondhand and antiques (esp loved all the antique jewellry).
When we reached the end of the strip we found a really nice little thai place to stop and have a late (4pm) lunch, sappy i know but it was our first meal out together in London yeah!
Walked home from there and if you get a map out it was quite a walk indeed... made up for it tho with the botham burgers i cooked for dinner.
Lou O is staying with us at the moment which is really nice. Had a chilled evening on the couch tonight and watched 'Shaun of the Dead' for the 3rd time. Still laughed till i have tears = D
Off to sleep now... am exhausted, All you Aussies don't melt in the heat, i hear it has been very hot.
Catch ya soon x
