Driving Ireland
Hi All,
Nick and i have just returned from a week of driving around Ireland. It was really beautiful, so green and picturesque. We traveled with friends from Australia and our journey is marked on the map below.
We spent our first night in Dublin where we toured the Guinness Factory and downed our free pint. The guys assure me Guinness is better in Ireland but i'll have to trust them on it as i couldn't really tell the difference... not surprising since i think the last time i had it was St Pats day about 5 years ago at Shenanigans...

From Dublin we drove through Kilkenny (were we insisted on having a pint of Kilkenny) to Dingle on the South West coast. We had 2 nights in Dingle and stayed at the most awesome guest house (Heatons). Beautiful rooms, white spotless bathrooms and then breakfast... wow was that good. Best part was the porridge served with brown sugar cream and ... drambuie... That was just the kick we needed considering how cold and windy it was outside.
After filling up on breakfast we set out to drive around the ring of Kerry - unfortunately for us though the fog set in about half way around. We were all pretty disappointed to be missing out on the view and even more so when we saw a sign that read 'Ireland's Best view' and all we could see was fog fog fog and not a foot more. Oh Well..

The nest day we set off from Dingle to Clifton.. here are some pics from the drive

On our way to Clifton we stopped at the Cliffs of Moher which were amazing, again if it had been a blue sky day my photos would have been 100% better. The winds were gale force as we walked along the edges of them, hence my scarf over my head ... so no laughing.. oh why not laugh.. the others all did!

Best leave this post here as i should be getting back to work... but i will update more tomorrow!
