Hampton Court Palace

Our day at Hampton Court Palace was great - well all except the last 1/2 hour but I'll get to that later. Hampton Court Palace is about an hour out of London (South West) and was built for King Henry VIII in 1525. There are also many many state apartments on the grounds where the well to do and highly respected were allow to live. These were call the Grace and Favor apartments and Royalty, members of the aristocracy, military heroes, diplomats, scientists, explorers and politicians all resided in the palace apartments.

The gardens are amazing! As you can see from the photos i have posted. We spent nearly 4 hours wandering around the palace, its gardens and the maze. The drama started tho when i realised i'd lost my new esprit jacket... we searched all over the grounds with no luck... i reported it lost... tho was not surprised when it was not handed in... most disappointing of all was that i had only bought it the day before and had not yet even put it on.. apart from in the shop!
Decided that it was jus too nice to give up on so i bought another one exactly the same the next day - can't say it's really worth £100 (£50 X 2) but since then i have worn it nearly every day so i may just get my values worth...
