Berlin

Nick and I have just returned from a very cold but great weekend in Berlin, very cold being -4 in the day and -18 over night!

We stayed with family friends in the heart of Berlin and were well looked after, thank Peter, Anja, Emily and Sam for having us! xWe arrived on Saturday afternoon and headed out to see Checkpoint Charlie and Potsdamer Platz and then walked to the Reichstag building and the Brandenburg Gate. Finally we strolled along Unter den Linden and back to the apartment. I've included below some of the photos from our walk.

On the Sunday Peter and Anja took us to a Park/forest called Wannsee Lake "vonsea" where we walked for 4km along the frozen river. It was amazing. Everything was so white and although it was cold the air felt so crisp and clean. This walk goes high up in my favourite things i have done in my time overseas.
