Aust v NZ

Well the jinx has been broken - I have seen a goal scored in a soccer match - tho it took until the 85 min mark of the game last night for it to happen!
The night was good fun and seeing all those Aussies in one place - ah we are a patriotic bunch! Waltzing Matlida was sung at the top of the crowds lungs for whole game and when a NZ player was stretcher off then crowd cheered.... (not really appropriate or good sportsmanship but hey?) Highlight of the match - When the final whistle blew and the stadium came to life with hundreds of Aussies singing 'Down Under' You've just gotta feel proud HA!
Walked home from Putney Bridge along the river which was nice and stopped on the way at a little pub in Hammersmith to watch the replay of the Kosta Tszyu fight - (he lost) so it was a big night of sports for this little Aussie.
It's friday thank god and i'm looking forward to the weekend. Tonight looks like we may catch up with a friend from ECS, Saturday the plan is to see Mr and Mrs Smith and then try and find (and buy) a cotton blanket (not as easy as it sounds - this is our third attempt) and then Sunday is the TOAST festival (think i'm repeating myself now but i guess that's what happens when i update this two days in a row =P)
